Granting Access to Tools
By default, members of your library have limited access to the tools provided. As a site administrator, you can grant your members access to additional tools. You do this using groups.
From the Tools page, use the Groups tool and click on the Add New Group button to create a new group. For example, we might create the Service Statistics group with a group type of Tool Access as shown below.
Fill in the description field and click the Update button to create this new group.
Now that you have created the group, you need to add members to the group. Click the List Members button at the top of the Group Detail page. Since this is a new group, there are currently no members.
Select a member from the pull-down menu and click Add to add this member to this group. Repeat this for each member for which you wish to grant access to the Service Statistics tool.
Next, you need to tell SiteScripter to grant access to the Service Statistics tool to members in the Service Statistics group. From the Tools page, use the Tool Access tool to do this. From the list of tools, click Service Statistics to change the access permissions.
Select Tool Access from the Group Type pull-down menu. The new Service Statistics group will appear in the left-hand window. Select this and click the Add button to add it to the list of groups granted access to this tool. Click the Update button to save this change.
You can see that the Service Statistics group now appears in the Group Access column for the Service Statistics tool. You can manage the members who have access to this tool simply by adding and removing them from this group.
