Manage Tabs - Edit Subtab

For each subtab, you must provide a label for the subtab. You can also choose how pages that are attached to this subtab are sorted. By default, they will appear in alphabetical order. You can select either reverse alphabetical, chronological, or reverse chronological order if you wish. Chronological order will display the pages by the date on which they were last published. This is useful for links to newsletters or other periodic publications.

You may also have your subtab link to some other web site -- to a Link Out URL. To do this, enter the full URL (including the http://) in the Link Out URL text field. If you would like a new window to open when your members click on this link, check the box provided. If you use this feature, editors will not be able to attach web pages to this subtab.

When you click the Update button, you will be returned to the Manage Tabs screen. Except for the Link Out Tab option described above, your new subtab will not be displayed on your intranet until a published web page has been attached to it. When the first web page is attached, the subtab will be linked directly to that page. When there is more than one web page attached, the attached pages will "pop up" next to or below the subtab depending on the navigation style you selected.

If you are editing an existing subtab, you have the option of deleting the subtab. However, a subtab cannot be deleted if it has pages attached to it. A list of the pages attached to the subtab is displayed below the Edit Subtab form.
