Service Statistics

The Service Statistics tool is used to collection transaction statistics at various service locations throughout your library. To use this tool, click to Service Statistics on the Tools Index page. A list of the service locations currently defined for your library will be displayed. If the service location for which you wish to add transaction statistics is not listed, contact your supervisor or site admin.

Click on the service location name to open the Service Statistics button bar for that location. Each of the services being collected at this location will be displayed across the button bar. Your transaction count for this hour will be displayed above each service. You can increment the transaction count by clicking on the service name or the green Increment icon below it. The time of your last click will be displayed in the upper-right-hand corner of the button bar. If you take no action for 15 minutes, the background of the button bar will turn red to remind you to collect your transaction statistics. If you have had no transactions during the last 15 minutes, click the Refresh button to return the button bar background to white and reset the activity counter.

If you increment a service by mistake, you can decrement it by clicking the Decrement Counts icon in the upper-right-hand corner of the button bar. The buttons on the button bar will now allow you to decrement the count of one service by clicking on the service name or the red Decrement icon. Once you decrement a count, the button bar will return to incrementing the counts. You can also return to incrementing counts by clicking on the Increment Counts icon in the upper-right-hand corner of the button bar.

When you are finished collecting service statistics at this location, simply close the button bar window. Members with access to the Service Statistics Admin tool can generate reports of the statistics collected at the various service locations.
